General Event Information

Concept

Jaminaround is a one-night festival of music and performance, bringing internationally acclaimed artists to perform and entertain in the uniquely inspiring setting of Cranborne Earthouse, at The Ancient Technology Centre, Cranborne, Dorset. The named artists on the bill are primarily the ones jamming in the round, rather than it being an 'open-mic' event, although the intimate atmosphere, the circular layout and the communal excitement mean that the audience are vital contributing force to the performances. There is, however, often an unofficial Jaminaround after hours open session as well.

Tickets and entry

Advance tickets can be purchased from the ticket site (hosted by Eventbrite). Follow the links on each specific events page. Tickets are in the form of a code, redeemable on entry against your name. Standard advance tickets vary in price for each event. In the event of it not being sold out in advance, tickets are available on the door.

Facilities
The Ancient Technology Centre is used on a daily basis by school groups and the organisers of Jaminaround kindly ask that you respect the site by leaving it as you found it. Recycling bins will be provided. No rubbish must be left on the grass - especially cigarette butts. There are toilets on site and there will be a drinking water hose to fill up water bottles. No cooking facilities.

Children and minors:

The event is not aimed at young children. There is no concession rate ticket, but children are more than welcome. How much your children of whatever age will enjoy the event is your call. If you are thinking to come and bring very young children, under 10's do not need to pay but must obviously be accompanied by their parents and this must be arranged by email in advance.

Food and Drinks
Delicious, freshly cooked food and a range of hot and cold drinks will be available
to purchase at reasonable prices.

The centre is situated in a small rural village so be advised that there is nothing in the way of shops to buy food after 6pm. There are two village pubs which serve food until around 11pm.

Cash / Payments

It will be possible to pay for food and drinks with contactless card, although we advise to bring cash in case of network dropouts or technological hiccups. There are also no cashpoints in the village, although it may be possible to get cashback in the local pubs. Nearest ATM will be in the town of Verwood.

Accommodation

For those travelling to Jaminaround from afar, there is limited space available for camping overnight at the event, thanks to the kindness of the ATC team. Camping places must be purchased as an 'all in one' ticket from the Eventbrite ticket site. If you do not have an overnight stay ticket then you will not be allowed to camp - have a look at the local accommodation options below. There is also very limited space for Campervans in the car park at the top of the track on entrance. Campervan spots must be reserved by email before you purchase a ticket otherwise we cannot guarantee space.

These campsites are all within 5 miles of Cranborne.
